How do I manage separate Customers in Microsoft Project 2003? I have Microsoft Project 2003, and own an Internet marketing company. I am struggling with how to manage where each Customer is currently at, task-wise at any given time period, like weekly or monthly. One customer may have been with us for a few months (therefore some specific tasks have already been completed), while a brand new customer is just starting specific new tasks. We have over 20 customers to date. How in Project do I enter different Customers/Companies with specific tasks assigned to each one? ie. CompanyA, CompanyB, etc. Ultimately, I'd like to view a weekly report showing each customer, and tasks that have been completed for each customer, and which tasks are still pending completion, to be completed that week. I'm sure I don't Create a New Project for each company name, with tasks assigned, correct? Otherwise, it would be extremely tedious opening separate project files to view each customer's tasks and their standing each week. Please help...so confusing.

What is the best program to help manage estimates and customers.? I own a buisness that builds custom garage doors. Builders fax me drawings or pictures and we send back detailed estimates. I want a program I can save detailed estimates for future use instead of always re-entering almost the same data. I currently just cut and paste which leaves more room for mistakes. I would also like to be able to scan pictures, Estimates, final invoices, job measurements ect.... into customer folders to help organize our customers better. Is there a program out there that fits that description? Quick Books is good but only for the numbers part of it not the organizational side.

what if a certain restaurant you manage is now bein crowded with lots of oldies as your regular customers? let's say you manage a McDonals Restaurant which is one of the best fast food chain in the country. suddenly, you notice that almost all of your customers are senior citizens who sits in for a cup of coffee, chatting with friends and seems to stay from two to five hours. you are so worried that the image you are projecting with your restaurant is a "fast food resto" and normally customers are expected to "eat and run". you are also concerned that your restaurant might come to be known as an "old people's resto" -- which might discourage some younger customers. what are the possible ways to do to cope up wuth this problem? thankz so much!!
How do I handle 1000 customers? Hello, I need to come up with a business model to manage 1000 customers with 4 employees. These are not random customers that call in once in awhile - we will have to take care of their daily customer service needs and build a relationship with them. I can only think of dividing the customers and assigning a group to each employee but I am looking for someting a little more cutting edge. Thank you for your ideas.

i manage a very busy pet store, and i get very frustrated very easily with the customers. why? i'm really good at self analyzation, but i can't figure out why i get so frustrated at work. i manage a very popular, very busy (non-chain) pet store. it's like my dream job, im happy working with the animals although it's tiring being on my feet all day. i have worked here for 2 years, and love it love love it!! but some days, like today, i get so irritated by customers' stupidity that i get pissy and short with them. then i get mad that i act that way. for example, we have a sign when you walk in that says "no photographs or camera phones" what do people do? immediately start taking photos, i exhaustedly say to them "please, no pictures." then they dont hear me so i say it again, then i say it again and point to the sign and walk away. i like kids, but i dont like them running around, screaming, making messes of the bird toys, and listening to their stupid parents (i dont have kids obviously) say "annie, what is that? is that a bird? annie is that a bird? can you say bird, annie? annie, say bird?" i'm like thinking "just shut up already!" how can i calm myself down and set a boundary so their actions don't upset me so much. even after i get home, im still feeling frustrated! help me! good advice!!!!!!!! keep it coming!

How do I find customers for my new computer training business when they don't know they need it? I recently started a small company where I will offer computer training. I will offer training on database design and data analysis. However, most of the people who would benefit from the training (people who use spreadsheets to manage their data) don't know that they would benefit from my service. So, how do I (inexpensively) find these customers who don't know they need me? I have tried posting an ad on craigslist computer services, but got no responses.

Since this month has less customers than usual. Is that the right reason for them to not well-behaved? or... Is this a common problem in business? How to manage them? I see warning is useless. or it's me too young for them? probably they think they are in need. how to show them that they aren't as important as they think?

What is the process by which & related costs for allowing customers to pay invoices online? see details below? Our company already has a secure online system through which our customers can login with a unique username/password and view their open invoices on an invoice by invoice basis. We want to make the jump and allow our customers to pay online (preferably via electronic check but also with major credit cards). It is my job to prepare the internal sales pitch to take this next step. I expect resistance from IT (how much additional work for them to deploy & manage?) & upper management (what are the fees/costs?). Any help, advice is greatly appreciated.

Want to revamp my website. Should I hire an ecommerce expert or manage it with in-house resources? I am the owner and CEO of a printing business with 30 employees that provides services both to businesses and single customers. I want to contract a webdesign company to revamp my website (new site, SEO, e-shop). Would you recommend hiring an ecommerce expert or manage it with existing in-house resources? What would be the typical project tasks, and how should I recompense him/her (fixed fees, commission %, etc.)?
How can I impress my boss on a marketing project involving the creation of a list of potential customers? I have a huge list of people and their positions in the company they work for. Most of the companies are not-for-profit and the people on the list are generally in executive or leadership positions. My job is to compile a list of their contact information, specifically their email and work phone number. I would like to go above and beyond his expectations of the project. One possibility I have thought of is also inserting a little sentence about how the comapany can benefit from our service. I am new to the company and it is a small stat-up: I would like to make a good impression, but considering the length of the list, I need to consider how I can make it quality work and manage to complete the task in a reasonable amount of time. Any suggestions at all are welcome and I appreciate all positive responses. Thanks a lot.
The behaviour of some of these wealthy Northern Rock customers makes you wonder how these idiots managed? to gather so much money in the first place. One woman, who had £750,000 in Northern Rock said she was considering stuffing it under the mattress. Bloody idiots, massive queues are still outside the building society even after the British government have stated on TV that 100% of their money is being insured by the chancellor, what fools they are. What is your opinion? Another man had a million pounds in Northern Rock and he went in the bank with his wife and demanded every penny IN CASH !!! despite the fact the maximum cash withdrawal is £500. He was so aggressive that the police had to be called.
This year British Gas are given each of there customers 4 free engery lightbulbs? And they are even delivering each one to each of there customers doors for free. By the way they have managed to forget that they hiked up prices at the start of the year by around 15-20 percent and that they are about to hike the bills up again by as much as 30 percent. Now to all british gas consumers my question is, do you really want or care about these extra free bulbs.
How to improve or manage a local delivery? I have a problem on scheduling my local delivery is always due to last minutes oders from my sales man and customers. especially when is coming to month end. how can i improve on such a last minutes oders to arrange the delivery?
how to manage customer appointments in excel 07? This might be a little too much to ask for but here's my scenario: we run a nail salon with 2 technicians and presently we're filling out paper schedules. I want to be able to book peoples' appointments from 10am to 8pm in Excel in a way that the program will notify me if the times will clash, thus letting me know the time is unavailable for booking. For instance, a "pedicure" takes 45 mins, while a "manicure" takes 30 mins, a "fill" is an hour, and "polish or waxing" 15 mins. What I need is Time in one column, Customer Name next, then Appointment third, and Technician fourth. So if I were to input Technician1 with Customer1 for a Pedicure at 10am, the next available time for booking for Technician1 must show as 10:45am. And of course the same applies to Technician2 with Customer2 and so on... Is there some sort of template I could refer to, or what sort of function should I work with to get this started? Thanks in advance for any assistance!
How would you politely handle customers that monopolize your time? Currently, I work in a very small automobile service business. My primary duties include answering phones, bookkeeping, estimating, human resources, invoicing, managing employees, marketing, purchasing, reception, sales, and scheduling. The only other employees are automobile technicians so I am solely responsible for all office tasks. Because I am the only one available to greet customers, my office adjoins the waiting room, separated only by a long countertop. The biggest problem I have is when friendly, well-meaning customers come in for appointments talk to me constantly the entire time that their cars are being serviced. This can go on anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours each. Most customers are aware I am a partial owner, so perhaps they figure I can't get in trouble with "the boss". Meanwhile, I am unable to make progress on any of my work. This happens every day so I end up staying hours late and/or work weekends outside of business hours just to try to catch up on paperwork.

How did banks keep track of accounts before computers? Now days we have databases and software to manage customer accounts. However, back before computers that wasn't a luxery. Say I had $300 back in 1922, and I needed $20.00 of it. How did the teller know that I had the money? Did they have to look at a general ledger and manually deduct the amount from the ledger? Or was there a more sophisticated way to manage customer's money?

Oxo gravy granuals - is the company who makes this product cheating it's customers? Oxo beef gravy granuals used to come in a 300g jar which cost £1.97. Oxo beef gravy granuals now come in a 30g sachet which cost £0.69. Is this the biggest example ever of a company managing to massively increase it's prices just by changing the packaging? My guess is that all other gravy manufacturers have done something similar. How do they get away with it? Yes, I know. The stupid customers continue to buy.
