How GSM Provider manage there customer detel?

How mobile natwork manage that which number there customers are dialing? where the mobile at present time....etc... plz mention software name or file name if available....

1. The GSM network is a very sophisticated one, that contains many components. A cellphone uses the SIM Card to "register" on the network through a cell tower. The cell tower connects to a HLR (a server where your account is registered at). That server keeps records of all your calls and when you make a call, it sends it to a main server, where it is send to a VLR (remote server, similar to HLR). The SIM card itself contains an IMSI number that is the Subscriber Identifier - a unique number that identifies you on any GSM network. There is no easy way to modify that, and definitely not with any downloadable software. Not to mention, it is VERY illegal to do so, and won't work unless the subscriber you are trying to copy is off the network.
