Customer Relationship Management System

How do you manage your customers expectations?

In the current economic climate I seem to be faced with a lot of customers expecting far more for a lot less money. How do I stop them from making unrealistic demands without appearing difficult or unprofessional in their eyes?

  1. Put yourself in their shoes, what do you want and expect as a customer! You can't stop anyone from expecting more but you can explain what you can offer and try to explain why, what they are asking for is unrealistic. Then if that isn't good enough for them wish them well. Bottom line is all you can do is your best.
  2. you have to be realistic yourself and explain to your customers the basis on which yuo charge your professional fees. Businesses appreciate that a good service costs money but maybe people who are not used to paying for a good service i.e. want everything cheap will get what they pay for - a rubbish service that will cost them more to sort the resulting problems! You too are a professional and if you let yourself give a service that is of a low standard then you will have lost your own professional name!
